George F. (Rick) Adam, Jr.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Rick Adam is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Recondo Technology. He founded the company in 2007 with the goal of developing software and services designed to bring efficiencies and cost savings to the handling of healthcare payments, a process that currently costs the medical industry a staggering $425 billion in annual expense.

Mr. Adam also founded New Era of Networks (NEON). NEON products were leaders in electronic data interchange (EDI) and application integration for healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing/distribution. At Baxter Healthcare Corp., Mr. Adam founded and led the Travenol Healthcare Information Systems (also called IBAX) which automated several hundred hospitals. The software applications automated and integrated admitting, patient accounting, pharmacy, and material management. Mr. Adam also has extensive experience in the financial services industry where he led efforts to streamline administrative costs.

Mr. Adam holds a BS degree from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York. As a captain in the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Adam served as launch crew officer in charge of the Real Time Computer Center (RTCC) at Kennedy Space Center for Apollo Missions 8 through 14. He has served on the Colorado Governor's Commission on Science and Technology. Mr. Adam is a Director of Life Technologies, a leading company in life and genetic sciences.

Fred Horn
President and Chief Operating Officer

Fred Horn is Recondo President and Chief Operating Officer, managing customer service activations and guiding all customer-facing operations.

Before joining Recondo, he served as CEO for Nunami and Selero, where he repositioned the companies from a connectivity network services provider to a fully automated Broker Dealer providing equity execution services to institutional clients, exchanges, and regulatory agencies. At New Era of Networks (NEON), Fred was responsible for worldwide software sales, professional services, and partner/channel development with annual revenue of $200 million and a worldwide staff of 500. He also was a partner at Ernst & Young, managing director at SHL Systemhouse, and vice president at Goldman Sachs.

He holds a BA in Economics from Northwestern University. He is an independent director at wealthTouch in Denver.

April L. Kooiman
President, Revenue Recovery Services

April is responsible for the financial operations and business development of Trilogi. She has over 15 years experience in the heathcare arena. Prior to joining Trilogi in August 2007, April served as the Executive Director of Business Development at AHC, Inc., a national healthcare receivables management company for five years.

April started her career in healthcare on the payer side, holding various management roles in Claims and Provider Relations. She has held such roles as Network Operations Manager for Accountable Health Plans, and Director of Claims and Provider Management, for TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TRICARE contractor) before moving her career to the receivables arena.

April received her undergraduate degree from University of Texas in Arlington, Texas.

Sheryl Adam
Senior Vice President, Product Development

As SVP Product Development for Recondo Technology, Sheryl Adam is responsible for software development of the Recondo HRE product as well as data center operations. Ms. Adam has a proven track record for deployment of multiple data centers, including specification, deployment, and management, and since 1992 has been successful in software product development using many technologies, including from inception through deployment and management. Ms. Adam is also experienced in optimization of business-to-business connectivity with an impressive track record of leading teams responsible for product strategy, customer implementation, and problem resolution and implementation of best practice lifecycle management methodologies.

Brandon Childs
Vice President, Revenue Cycle Services

Brandon Childs serves as Vice President of Revenue Cycle Services and has responsibility for many premier Recondo accounts. He has a proven track record of understanding the entire revenue cycle and all its associated components, workflow, human factors, and technology. During 14 years with Accenture, Brandon managed many consulting projects across both payers and providers, including managed care organizations, hospitals, physician clinics, IPAs, and state Medicaid organizations. He possesses extensive experience in developing and implementing advanced solutions to meet complex needs, and focuses on helping customers achieve maximum value through implementations. While at Accenture, he worked with 10 of the 12 largest commercial payer organizations and he conducted many revenue cycle review studies. Prior to that, he worked at Integrated Health Systems specializing in rapid implementations of hospital information systems at small/medium-sized hospitals. Brandon holds a BS degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Northern Colorado.

Steve Johnson
Chief Financial Officer

Steve Johnson serves as the Recondo Chief Financial Officer, responsible for financial strategy and planning, setting the firm's strategy for growth, and managing cash flow to minimize capital requirements. He also manages all financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.

He has decades of experience building companies, raising venture funding, and leading both initial and subsequent public offerings. Additionally, he has raised multiple rounds of capital, including early-stage venture capital, venture debt, and private investment in a public entity, and has led mergers, acquisitions, and leveraged buyouts. Steve brings solid relationships with the venture capital community across the country.

Prior to joining Recondo, Steve was CFO at Configuresoft, a $30 million software company in Colorado, where he was responsible for all financial activity, including corporate strategy, financial reporting, budgeting, operational analysis, internal controls, sales negotiations, legal, and capital transactions . He led a successful sale of the company to EMC Corporation. Prior to that, he was CFO for Optika, where he established venture funding to finance early growth, piloted the initial public offering, managed multiple acquisitions and divestitures, and successfully negotiated the sale of Optika to Stellent, for approximately $60 million. Steve also worked for KPMG Peat Marwick, focusing on audit and consulting services for privately held, entrepreneurial-oriented companies.

Steve holds a BS in Business Administration from California Polytechnic University.

John L. Magee
Chief Information Officer

John L. Magee is responsible for all aspects of Recondo service delivery from account activation and management to system operations to technology infrastructure. He previously served as Chief Information Officer of Adam Aircraft and Chief Technology Officer of tapX Ltd, a UK-based company developing B2B financial settlement services.

At New Era Of Networks,(NEON), Mr. Magee had several management assignments, including CIO, head of product development for financial services industry electronic commerce products, and building the infrastructure for NEON's hosted service offerings. As a consultant, he has helped organizations adopt the technology architectures and management strategies they needed to remain competitive during periods of rapid change. At Goldman Sachs, he designed and implemented a totally new telecommunications network, including management features for user chargeback ensuring that business units were charge for their direct consumption of services. At Consolidated Edison Company of New York, he led the support of one of the world's largest redundant communications networks hosted by IBM mainframes. Mr. Magee's career began in the 1960s at IBM, where he played a major role in service planning for large mainframe software.

Beth Mansfield
Vice President, Professional Services

Beth Mansfield serves as Recondo Vice President, Professional Services, responsible for delivering integration services, managing the Recondo Statements of Work and other agreements, and for expanding the Recondo integration services offerings.

Beth brings more than 25 years of healthcare and revenue cycle experience and success to Recondo, with skills and expertise in operational projects and management, business development, and process/IT transformation for both internal and external constituencies. Her technical experience includes healthcare information systems, application implementations, customization, and management.

Prior to Recondo, Beth worked for First Consulting Group and then CSC (following the acquisition of First Consulting Group). At FCG/CSC, Beth held several management positions and was responsible for multiple client relationships and customer satisfaction. She also worked for McKesson, Price Waterhouse, Electronic Data Systems, and Moffitt Cancer Center.

Beth holds a B.S. in Business Administration/Computer Science from Seton Hall University.

Victor Marcinik
Vice President, Product Marketing

Victor Marcinik joined Recondo Technology as Vice President, Product Marketing after 17 years with HCA Healthcare. His contributions within HCA were lead roles in complete revenue cycle operations. Most recently, Mr. Marcinik was Chief Operating Officer for HCA Denver's Revenue Cycle Operations, which encompassed seven acute care facilities. Mr. Marcinik received degrees in accounting and finance from the University of Central Florida.

Reid Mellott
Chief Sales Officer

Reid Mellott is Chief Sales Officer. Prior to joining Recondo, Reid was Regional Manager of Sales for Craneware, consistently performing at or near the top of the Craneware sales force delivering both gross revenue and new sales. He also worked as Senior Medical Systems Sales Consultant for Bradford-Scott Data Corporation, selling products and services into to large-scale clinics, hospitals, and management service organizations. Reid holds a BS in Management from Purdue University.

Mike Mulcahy
Vice President, Payer Relations

Mike Mulcahy serves as Recondo Vice President, Payer Relations. He previously was the Market Head for Aetna in Colorado, providing network management services for a 6000+ physician, hospital, and ancillary provider network for a full spectrum of Aetna managed healthcare products. Prior to Aetna, he was Director of Operations for Prudential Healthcare, managing multi-state programs for 125,000-member health plan. As Government Products Contract Manager for United Healthcare, he was responsible for all provider contracting activities for start-up Medicare and Medicaid products.

Mike holds a Master of Health Administration degree and an MBA from Georgia State University. He completed a Fellowship in Healthcare Policy from the Bighorn Center for Public Policy in 2005, and served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps.

Harold Piskiel
Chief Technology Officer

Harold Piskiel was the 1999 recipient of the Albert Einstein Award for Technology and serves as Chief Technology Officer for Recondo Technology. With over 35 years of technological experience, Mr. Piskiel previously served as co-founder of New Era of Networks (NEON). He was Vice President, Data Administration, for Goldman Sachs, where he designed and developed the Data Replication Model and Subscription Services and a Vice President at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Piskiel holds a number of patents in rules-based systems.

Jason Thomas
Vice President, Strategic Accounts

Jason Thomas is Vice President, Strategic Accounts. Prior to joining Recondo, Jason was Regional Vice President of Sales for Craneware, managing 28 western states. During his tenure at Craneware, his region delivered a significant percentage of annual revenue, leading to a successful Initial Public Offering. He also worked for BMC Software, where he consistently achieved quota and made Sales Club. Jason holds a BBA in Finance from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Terry Truman
Vice President, Marketing

Terry Truman serves as Vice President of Marketing, works closely with Recondo business partners and channel partners, and is responsible for branding, lead generation, public relations, and marketing communication. His career spans more than three decades in technology marketing and sales productivity. He was an early staff member at New Era of Networks (NEON), which went public in 1997, and at Unidata, which was ultimately acquired by IBM. Mr. Truman has helped several other high-tech firms grow from startup to IPO or acquisition. He received his BA in American Literature and Business Administration from Loretto Heights College.
